I had gotten this recipe off of the Hallmark channel for lemon flavored. I had lots of watermelon, so I changed the juices and added the salt. So refreshing and summery!! It's perfect if you're "Around the House" cleaning, and when you're done...you've got a great treat!!

    simple syrup
  • 1 c
    ice cold water

  • 2
In a freezer safe pan, combine the 1 cup of watermelon juice and 3/4 cup of simple syrup.
  • 3
Place this in the freezer and scrape it with a fork every half hour until it becomes light and flakey. (About 3 hours.)
  • 4
Puree the frozen mix with the cup of ice cold water and salt.
  • 5
Place the blended mix in disposable cups or soufflés and let them have a good freeze, at least another 3-4 hours. Enjoy!!

NOTE: It's best to let the Italian ice sit out for about 10-15 minutes before eating. Makes it easier to scoop into your mouth!!
