raz'anana "smushy"

Part Smoothie, part slushy, this drink is refreshing for any time! By adding a few things, this is a great Breakfast drink, or by itself, a refreshing beverage thicker than a drink, but not quite there for a thicker smoothie.

Ingredients For raz'anana "smushy"

  • 1
    banana, frozen and broken into chunks
  • 1 c
    (8oz) strawberry yogurt or (plain low fat yogurt)
  • 1/2 c
    frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 c
    frozen blueberries (or blackberries)
  • 1 c
    frozen strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey or splenda packet
  • 1/8 tsp
    cinnamon (or a dash)
  • 3/4 c
    apple juice or orange juice
  • 1/4 c
    splash cranberry juice, about 2-3 tbsp
  • 1/2 c
    ice, about 5 or so
  • OPTIONAL ITEMS TO ADD FOR BREAKFAST DRINK
  • 1/4 c
    cooked quick oatmeal
  • 1 Tbsp
    flax
  • 1 Tbsp
    benefiber
  • 1 Tbsp
    wheat germ

How To Make raz'anana "smushy"

  • 1
    Pour banana into blender and pulse a few times. Add raspberries and blueberries and half of the ice and pulse. Add juice, honey, cinnamon and rest of ice and blend about 15-30 seconds. Add a splash more juice if needed.

    For Breakfast drink: After above has been completed, add oatmeal, flax and benefiber if you wish, and blend about 15 seconds to combine.
