This is a recipe I tried for the first time this last Fall. with some apples we had got in the mountains :) I would definately say its a winnner :)

Ingredients For comforting cranberry apple crisp

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 can
    16 oz whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 7 c
    thinly sliced peeled tart apples
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 c
    old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    cold butter, cubed

How To Make comforting cranberry apple crisp

  • 1
    In a large bowl, combine sugar and flour; stir in the cranberry sauce. Add the apples; Toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 13x9 dish.

    In a small bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon; cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake at 375* for 35-40 minutes or till filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.
