Baba loves peach cobbler. She has been having cancer treatments, so when she asked me to make this, you know I had to just because it meant she would eat. So here it is, the way I altered it. I have no idea where she got the original. LOL As a matter of fact, she probably doesn't know either!

Ingredients For baba's peach cobbler, my way

  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    bisquick
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    melted butter
  • 5 c
fresh peaches, peeled, pits removed and sliced (see notes)
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • vanilla bean ice cream, optional

How To Make baba's peach cobbler, my way

  • 1
Oven to 375 degrees. Stir bisquick and nutmeg together, then add milk. Add melted butter until blended. Put into 8" deep dish pie pan, not greased.
  • 2
Mix together peaches and sugar, spoon over the batter. Bake 40 min or until golden. The original suggests cooking for 50-60 min, and top with additional sugar. Start with the 40 min, then check and cook longer if necessary.

Notes: Her notes said in an ungreased 8" square pan, called for originally 1 cup sugar, and a 29 oz of peaches. We only had about 4 cups when we cut up the fresh peaches, so started with 40 min cooking time and used a pie plate. We ended up cooking it 5 min more...for a total of 45 minutes.

Megan's Notes: Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. You can't go wrong! My hubby liked it so much he asked me to make it again...great testimony!
