Saw this recipe on the back of a 5lb bag of sugar and thought they sounded good. So I gave them a try and they are really very good! I think they would make a great snack for kids after school or for your grandchildren too !!!

Ingredients For soccer bars

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/3 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    ap flour
  • 1 c
    old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 c
    semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ICING -- COMBINE AND SET ASIDE
  • 1/2 can
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make soccer bars

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and peanut butter and mix well. Stir in soda, salt, flour and oatmeal.

    Press into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.

    Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and drizzle with icing. Cool completely. Cut into squares and serve . !! Makes 24 squares
