Ingredients For triple chocolate cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa
  • 2 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    chocolate syrup (the kind you put in milk)
  • 12 oz
    semisweet chocolate chips

How To Make triple chocolate cookies

    Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In the bowl of a mixer, combine butter, shortening and light brown sugar. Mix on medium high until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla; beat on medium until combined thoroughly.

    In a large bowl, whisk together soda, salt, cinnamon, cocoa and flour. Gradually add to the butter mixture in mixing bowl and beat on low until combined. Add chocolate syrup and chocolate chips; beat on medium just until combined.

    Drop by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes, or until set, but don't over bake. Remove cookies to cooling rack. Serve warm or store in an airtight container once cooled.
