Every snickerdoodle recipe I've found calls for cream of tartar; since this is an ingredient I do not normally have a use for, I was searching for a recipe that does not call for this. I found it!! Plus, they are delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1/2 c

butter
3/4 c

sugar

egg
1 1/4 c

flour
1 1/2 tsp

baking powder
1/4 tsp

salt
TOPPING
1 Tbsp

sugar
1 tsp

cinnamon

How To Make snickerdoodles

Cream butter; add sugar & mix thoroughly.

Sift flour, baking powder & salt; stir into mixture.

Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts & roll in mixture of sugar & cinnamon.

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees
