These are another favorite recipe that came from my mom. She made these ever since I was little and we all fought over them! This is a chewy cookie with a surprising crunch.

Ingredients For everyday cookies

  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    butter(2 sticks)
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    rice krispies cereal
  • 1 c
    sweetened coconut
  • 1 c
    quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, pecans, etc. (baker's choice)

How To Make everyday cookies

  • 1
    Mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in a large bowl and set aside
  • 2
    Cream together butter, oil and both sugars until well mixed and then add vanilla.

    Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients just until all moistened.

    Stir in Rice Krispies, coconut, quick-cooking oatmeal and nuts of your choice until blended.

    Roll into 1-inch balls and flatten cookies with a cup dipped in sugar.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
