This is a delicious hot chocolate recipe. And with the addition of Kahlua, it's an adult-only beverage (not for kids).

Ingredients For kahlua hot chocolate

  • 2 c
    milk (i used 2%)
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    dutch-process unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 oz
    kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 1 sm
    handful miniature marshmallows, for serving
  • 1 Tbsp
    caramel ice cream topping, for serving
  • 1 Tbsp
    chocolate syrup, for serving

How To Make kahlua hot chocolate

    In a medium saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon and nutmeg over medium heat until heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in coffee liqueur.

    Top with mini marshmallows, and drizzle caramel topping and chocolate syrup over marshmallows, if desired.

    Serve immediately.
