This was my grandmothers recipe, which my mother & grandmother made every Christmas with us kids. My own children say it's not Christmas till we make these cookies.

Ingredients For soft drop cookies

  • 2/3 c
    butter/margarine (101/2 tbls)
  • 2 lg
    eggs well beaten
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • dash
    salt

How To Make soft drop cookies

  • 1
    Mix the butter/margarine, eggs and sugar. Now incorporate the sour cream and vanilla mix well. Mix dry ingredients in sepeate bowl,once mixed add dry ingredients into wet ingredients mix well.

    Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet or put parchment paper on cookie sheet. Now sprinkle cookies with colored sugars. For Christmas time we use red & green sugars. I have also used the non pariels.

    Bake cookies @ 350 degrees for 10-12 mins. until lightly brown around the edged & When touched they should spring back. Enjoy!!
