I really wish I could remember where I got this recipe but I've had it for such a very long time. I bake this for the holidays to give as gifts but it is good at any time of the year. It is one of my most requested recipes.

Ingredients For raspberry crumb bars
- COOKIE BASE

1/2 csugar
-
1 1/2 cflour
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
3 tspbaking powder
-
1egg
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
1/2 cmilk
-
1 tspvanilla extract
- CRUMB TOPPING

4 cflour
-
2 csugar
-
2 tspcinnamon
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 lbmelted butter
- FILLING
-
1 jar(small jar) seedless red raspberry jam softened or warmed
How To Make raspberry crumb bars

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Grease 18x12x1 pan (jelly roll).

3Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt until well incorporated.

4Add egg, butter milk and vanilla. Mix well.

5Spread evenly in greased pan.

6Spread softened or warmed raspberry jam evenly over base.

7Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt.

8Sprinkle evenly over cookie base and filling.

9Cool before cutting and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if desired.

10Makes up to 50 small bars or cut to whatever size you wish.
