This is my second favorite all-time cookie! I have been posting recipes for cookies I used to make and gift at Christmas, and PB cookies were on that list, BUT this is yet another cookie recipe that comes from hubby's family that is better than mine! These come out so chewy and wonderful...and I'm a sucker for a good chewy cookie! He used to make these for church potlucks and once people found out they were there, if you didn't get to them fast you didn't get one! LOL He was asked to make them for every bake sale too and they were the first to go. Yes, they are THAT good! Enjoy!

Ingredients For peanut butter cookies

1 cbrown sugar

1 cwhite sugar

2eggs
-
1 ccreamy peanut butter
-
1 cshortening
-
1 tspbaking soda

2 1/2 cflour

1 tspvanilla
How To Make peanut butter cookies

1Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and peanut butter and mix well. Mix dry ingredients together in a seperate bowl. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on a cookie sheet and press with a fork to make crosshatch pattern on top and to flatten to about 1/2 an inch thickness. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
