I like no-bake cookies because they don't heat the house up.

No-bake cookies are an easy cookie recipe to have on hand when craving a sweet treat. There are lots of versions of these no-bake oatmeal cookies, but we liked the mix-ins in this recipe. There's peanut butter and oats, but you also have walnuts, raisins, and flaked coconut. They add flavor and texture. These cookies remind us of a peanut butter fudge.

Ingredients For no-bake oatmeal cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened at room temp
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 3 c
    quick cooking oats, uncooked
  • 5 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    flaked coconut

How To Make no-bake oatmeal cookies

  • Heating butter, milk, and sugar.

    Lay the wax paper out evenly on a flat surface. Put butter, milk, and sugar together into a large pot. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Boil the mixture for 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Peanut butter, oatmeal, cocoa powder, walnuts, raisins, and coconut added to mixture.

    Remove the mixture from the heat. Turn the stove off. Add peanut butter, oatmeal, cocoa powder, walnuts, raisins, and coconut to the mixture. Stir the mixture until blended well.
  • Spoonfuls placed on waxed paper.

    Drop the mixture from spoonfuls onto the wax paper.
  • No-Bake Oatmeal Cookie on a napkin.

    Allow the cookies to cool completely and serve.
