Fun lil Spring Time Cookie!!! Orange Creamsicle Flavored sugar cookie with white chocolate chips... Seen this made on a blog the other day, only they used a Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and added 1c white chocolate chips, 1/2-1t orange extract and then 1t orange zest, which you could very easily do too. I just preferred to use my own simple sugar cookie recipe adding the extract, zest and chips. BTW leave out the orange extract, orange zest and white chocolate chips...and presto! Simple Sugar Cookies!!

Ingredients For dreamsicle cookies

  • 1 c
    regular or butter flavored crisco
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    orange extract
  • 4 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    tartar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    orange zest
  • 1 - 12oz pkg
    white chocolate chips

How To Make dreamsicle cookies

    Preheat oven to 375. Cream together first 6 ingredients, sift together dry ingredients and gradually add to the creamed mixture until just mixed then stir in zest and chips.

    Roll into 1 1/2" balls, roll in sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheets, press with bottom of a glass to flatten slightly.

    Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
