My husbands favorite cake is butternut and I wanted to come up with a butternut cookie for him. They turned out great, I thought my husband and grandson was going to be sick eating so many of them at one time.

Ingredients For butternut cookies

1 pkgwhite cake mix

1egg

1 stickbutter, softened

1 Tbspbutternut flavoring

1/2 cchopped nuts
How To Make butternut cookies

1Mix cake mix, egg and butter until well blended. Add butternut flavoring and nuts, you may have to mix with your hands batter will be stiff. Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into ball and place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, flatten ball. You can place half a pecan on each cookie if you want to. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until bottom of cookies begin to brown. Cool on racks.
