Ingredients For brown sugar cookies

CREAM
1/2 c

sugar
1 c

butter/margarine
1/2 c

brown sugar
ADD

egg
1 tsp

vanilla
MIX
2 c

flour
1/2 tsp

soda
1 tsp

salt
ADD FLOUR MIXTURE TO ABOVE, THEN ADD
1/2 c

finely chopped nuts

How To Make brown sugar cookies

Chill for 20 minutes.

Form balls size of quarters. Roll balls in sugar.

Press flat on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees

I dip fork in cold water to flatten the cookies and that makes them real pretty.

Optional Icing: If you are going to frost, do not roll balls in sugar. Boil: 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup cream or canned milk for 4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and spread on cookies.
