Ingredients For apple-filled snickerdoodles

1/2 c(1 stick) margarine or butter, softened

1/2 cplus 3 tablespoons sugar, divided

1/2 cpacked brown sugar

1egg, beaten

1 1/4 call-purpose flour
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
3 capple cinnamon toasted oats cereal, crushed to 1 and 1/4 cups

1 tspground cinnamon
-
1/3 capple butter (found in the jelly and jam aisle)
How To Make apple-filled snickerdoodles

11. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet.

22. Beat margarine, 1/2 cup sugar and brown sugar in bowl until creamy. Add egg. Mix well. Stir in flour and baking soda. Add cereal, stirring until well combined. Combine cinnamon and remaining 3 tablespoons sugar in small bowl.

33. For each cookie, roll 1/2 level tablespoon dough into a ball. Roll ball in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place on prepared cookie sheet. Press thumb in center of each ball to form a well. Spoon 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon apple butter into center of each cookie.

44. Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until light browned. let stand at least 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 66 cookies.
