Made these for a co-workers birthday and was a big hit. Very easy to make and big on flavor. Makes 4 dozen but can cut into bigger bars. Got this recipe from a recent Taste of Home Cake Mix book.

Ingredients For german chocolate bars

18-1/4 ozboxed german chocolate cake mix

2/3 ccold butter, cubed

1 csemisweet chocolat chips

15 ozcan coconut-pecan frosting

1/4 cmilk
How To Make german chocolate bars

1Place cake mix in large bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Press 2-1/2 cup into a greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes

2Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drop frosting by tablespoonfuls over the chips.

3Stir milk into the remaining crumb mixture; drop by teaspoonfuls over top. Bake 25-30 minutes longer. Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting
