This candy is very popular in the Philippines. It is kind of a melts-in-the mouth candy that most children love. It is also a popular present ("pasalubong")among filipinos to their loved ones every time they returned home.

Ingredients For yema candy^_^

  • 1 can
    condensed milk
  • 2 lg
    eggs, yolk only
  • 1 sm
    boiled potato (mashed)
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • pinch
    of salt
  • colored cellophane for wrapping

How To Make yema candy^_^

    Directions: Place a pot over low heat. Pour in condensed milk, egg yolk, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt,mashed potato, & melted butter. Continue stirring until mixture is thick that can form into a ball. Turn off fire. Cool before wrapping.Once the mixture is cool get a spoonful of it & shape it into your desired shape either a pyramid or a ball shape. Roll over the sweet yema into a floured board to avoid sticking. Wrap yema in a colored cellophane.
