I have been using this recipe for so many years I cannot, for the life of me, remember where it came from. My son and granddaughter loves this fudge so I make it for them.

Ingredients For bea's peanut butter fudge

  • 2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    evaporated milk, undiluted
  • 3/4 c
    crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp
    dark syrup(ie, karo or king)

How To Make bea's peanut butter fudge

    Combine sugar, butter and milk in a medium size heavy saucepan. Boil until sugar has dissolved over medium heat, sirring constantly. Cook to the soft ball stage, which takes about 15-20 minutes once boiling. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Beat until mixture has thickened then pour into a buttered 2 1/2 quart oblong glass dish. Cool and cut.

    Note: I also use creamy peanut butter sometimes. I also like the extra crunchy but it's hard to find.
