this is my husbands favorite cake for his birthday.

Ingredients For rum cake

1/2 cpecans, chopped
-
1 pkgyellow cake mix
-
1 pkgvanilla pudding ( 3 serving size pkg)

1/2 clight rum
-
1/2 cwater
-
1/2 ccooking oil
-
4 lgeggs
- GLAZE
-
1 csugar
-
1 stickbutter or margarine
-
1/4 clight rum
-
1/4 cwater
How To Make rum cake
-
1cover bottom of a greased and floured bundt pan with 1/2 cup of pecans then add rest of cake mix in a bowl and mix well then pour over nuts in pan. bake at 350 degrees for an hour. combine ingredients for glaze and boil for 5 minutes. pour over cake immediately after removing from oven and still in the pan. allow to cookl in pan. may be frozen

2another way of doing this is not put pecans in bottom of pan before adding mixture you can put mixture in pan and bake then when done puring and letting it cool and put on pan to share then add pecans on the top of the cake and let them fall where they may fall
