Ingredients For pear brunch cake
- STREUSEL:

3/4 cflour

1/2 clight brown sugar

2 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

4 Tbsp(1/2 stick) cold butter, diced

1/2 calmonds, sliced
- CAKE:

2 cflour
-
1/2 csugar
-
3 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspsalt

1 1/4 cwhole milk
-
1 tspalmond extract
-
1 lgegg
-
2ripe pears, cored and diced
How To Make pear brunch cake

1Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8-inch round baking pans and set aside. To make streusel, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl. Cut in butter using a pastry cutter or fork until mixture forms small to medium pieces. Mix in sliced almonds. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

2To make cake batter, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Add milk, almond extract and egg, stirring until just combined.

3Pour batter into prepared baking pans. Sprinkle half the pears over top of each cake, pressing into cake slightly. Top each cake with half the streusel mixture. Bake 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
