well this was a cake i was going to make my father n' law..but never got the chance because he passed away from cancer. It was originally from a cookbook and was suppose to be a eggnog pound cake but due to it being out of season there was no egg nog in the stores...so i added a little of this and a little of that and tottaly changed the recipe to make it my own!! :)

Ingredients For pappy's pound cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 box
    vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk (i use borden)
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon or pumpkin spice
  • 2 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    oil (i use canola)

How To Make pappy's pound cake

    Grease and flour a standard size bundt pan. Preheat oven to 350.

    First beat the eggs and oil at medium speed for 30 seconds.

    Then add milk and sweetened condensed milk.Next slowly add cake mix,pudding mix, and cinnamon or pumpkin spice at high speed till all combined.

    Pour batter into greased/floured bundt pan. Bake for 40-45 mins.cooking times varies due to different ovens.

    Cool and then put on serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar! serve and enjoy!!
