Ingredients For nutty chocolate squares

  • BASE:
  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • 2 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate squares (1 oz. each)
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 1/2 c
    toasted pecan pieces
  • FILLING:
  • 16 oz
    2-8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese,room temperature
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • TOPPING:
  • 2/3 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    butter

How To Make nutty chocolate squares

    Butter a 9x13-inch glass pan. Base: In a small saucepan melt the butter and chocolate over medium heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the cracker crumbs, coconut and pecans, mix well. Press mixture firmly into bottom of pan.

    Filling: In a large mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Spread over top of crust. Place in refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.

    Topping: In a small saucepan combine the chocolate and butter. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Spread over top of chilled cream cheese mixture. Chill 60 minutes and cut into squares.
