Our Kentucky jam cake. My mom has made this ever year for us for Christmas.Now i help her we make about 13 cakes .a about a week befor Christmas. There is 8 of us kids we have a big family.This is our family tradition. This was my Great grandmothers recipe.It is so good hope you like

Ingredients For my grandmother woodalls jam cake

    flour
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 6
    eggs
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    walnuts
  • 1 c
    blackberry jam, seedless
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    clove, ground
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • IN LARGE BOWL MIX EVERTHING TOGETHER WELL PUT IN GREASE AND FLOURED TUBE PAN

    bake at 350 for 20min Then turn oven down to 275 bake for about 1 hour brush orange juice over cake and wrap in foil while still hot . You could put iceing on it . Caramel iceing would be good Some times my grandmother did that.
