This is definitely NOT a low calorie dessert, but it's delicious!! Everyone loves the combination of caramel, chocolate and nut. I hope you like it too.

Ingredients For milky way cake

  • 8
    milky way bars--2.05 oz ea
  • 1/2 lb
    butter, room temperature
  • 4
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts

How To Make milky way cake

    Melt bars and butter, set aside. Beat eggs & sugar--add flour & soda alternately with buttermilk. Add melted bars & butter to flour mixture and combine thoroughly. Pour into greased angel food cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack about 10 minutes before removing from pan. You may have to run a knife around edges of the pan to release cake onto a rack.

    FROSTING: 2 1/2 cups sugar; 1 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed); 1/4 pound butter (half stick); 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff; 1 small package chocolate chips Cook sugar and milk until it forms a soft ball in cold water (soft ball stage on candy thermometer). Remove from heat; add butter, fluff & chocolate chips. Beat until hard enough to spread.
