Ingredients For macadamia feast cake

  • prepare a velvet crumb cake batter as directed on package of buttermilk baking mix
  • broiled macadamia topping:
  • 3 tbsp. soft butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp. light cream
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts

How To Make macadamia feast cake

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour a square 8 x 8 inch pan or a round layer pan, 9 inches. Pour prepared velvet crumb batter into prepared pan. Bake about 35 minutes or til top springs back when touched lightly. While warm, top with broiled macadamia topping.

    For topping, mix all ingredients. Spread on warm cake. Set oven control to broil and/or 550. Place cake 3 inches from source of heat. Broiler til nicely browned, about 3 minutes.
