This is a very moist lil cake. When I want something fast and simple, this is the cake I turn to..I always sprinkle it with confectioner's sugar..you could frost it if you prefer..I like the simplicity of it! This is a nice cake, if getting last minute company..only 1 bowl to clean too..that's my kind of cake! My pictures.

1 call purpose flour

1 csugar

1 chot water

1/2 cbaking cocoa, i use hershey's

1 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1egg
-
1/4 cbutter, melted

confectioners' sugar ( optional )

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease an 8 inch baking pan. I used cooking spray. -
2In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients.

3Add the egg and butter and mix well.

4Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean. Cool, and dust with confectioner's sugar.

5This cake is so simple and moist..we love it!
