When I was very little & my Mom was little, back in Chicago, my grandfather whom I adored would make this wonderful Onion Kuchen. Grandpa's are special, especially when Sundays come & they read you the Sunday funnies while you sit on their lap & it's snowing outside. I loved spending time with my Grandpa. I remember he would wax his car in the garage while I sat on the running board. There was always fresh flowers daily he would place in the two glass holders inside the car, for my grandmother whom he loved so much. He was mighty proud of his car & kept it till his death 1956.
