fudgey black bean brownies

These are delish! I know it sounds gross, but wait until you taste them! I heard this recipe on the radio in 2002. My friend and I were on a diet, so she made the recipe and oh boy they were good! You cant even tell the difference. They have 2 grams of fiber per serving. If anyone tries making these with splenda before I do please let me know. I know that splenda also has a "blend" for baking.

Ingredients For fudgey black bean brownies

  • 1/2 c
    cooked black beans
  • 1/2 c
    egg substitute
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar ( im wondering if splenda will even make this more healthy)
  • 1/4 c
    canola based margarine
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 oz
    unsweetened bakers chocolate, melted
  • 2 Tbsp
    vanilla

How To Make fudgey black bean brownies

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x9 inch pan with non stick vegetable oil spray.

    Place cooked black beans (canned are ok) in a food processor with egg substitute and sugar. puree until smooth.

    Transfer puree to medium sized bowl. add remaining ingredients and whisk together to combine.

    Put batter into sprayed pan. You bake them for ONLY 27 minutes. Batter should be slightly jiggly when removed from the oven.
