Ingredients For chocolate salad date cake

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    salad dressing
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    dates (cut up)
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    boiling water
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    walnuts (or your choice)
  • 1/2 c
    sugar

How To Make chocolate salad date cake

    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Prepare 9x12" pan. Combine the hot water, dates and soda. Let set for 15 min until dates are mushy. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, salad dressing, flour and vanilla. Mix well. Then stir in the date mixture. Pour into pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, sugar and nuts over the top. Bake 35 minutes.
