chocolate covered strawberry cake
I made these for the Brownies, and they ate 4 plates worth (we sent one to Little House for a special treat). They voted on this dessert instead of s'mores! Girls of all ages just love this recipe! I now make a double recipe in a 14" DO, and it never lasts! It is now a camp favorite, Laker made for her first day in a PAiT unit as a special treat!

2 boxbetty crocker chocolate fudge cake mix

1 bagchocolate chips

2 canstrawberry pie filling
How To Make chocolate covered strawberry cake

1Mix cake mix, eggs and pie filling together. Then add chocolate chips. Spray 5 pie plates with Pam, then put in the cake mix. Cook over the campfire, turning often so it doesn't burn. If you need to you can put foil over the tops to help heat the top.

2I have made this in camp in enamel pie plates, in my dutch oven, and this recipe is just fantastic. In the DO, it is more like a molten lava cake, in the pie plates it cooks more like a brownie. Girls of all ages love this recipe!
