This is one of those recipes that you can make in a hurry when you get unexpected company. It is also easy for kids to make. It is one of the first recipes that my daughters learned to make when they started baking. You can also use other cake mixes and pie fillings--spice cake mix and apple pie filling is also great.

How To Make chocolate cherry cake or bars

1Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease 9x13 or jellyroll pan. In a mixing bowl, stir together cake mix, 3 eggs and cherry pie filling with large spoon. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30 minutes or til toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before cutting. May frost with chocolate frosting if desired.
