This is my go-to cake when I want to be sure it works and is easy and the budget is low as it uses every day ingredients. It's also yummy and surprisingly light.

Ingredients For all in together cake

2eggs

4 ozsoft margarine

6 ozsugar
-
8 ozself raising flour

1/2 cmilk
-
1/4 tspsalt

dashvanilla
How To Make all in together cake

1Put all ingredients in basin and beat for 2 minutes.

2Cook in greased and floured tins in a moderate (185 degrees Celsius) for 30-35 minutes.

3Variations: Chocolate - add 4 Tablespoons of Cocoa, & 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda & extra milk. Coffee - Omit 1 Tablespoon milk, and add 1 Tablespoon coffee essence. Orange - Omit 2 Tablespoons Milk, add 2 Tablespoons of Orange juice and 1 level Dessertspoon grated Orange rind.

4When cooked and cooled, decorate with your favourite icing or frosting.
