Ingredients For chocolate cherry sauce

2 C. dark sweet cherries, halved and pitted

1/2 C. water

2 Tbs. sugar

5 1-oz. squares semisweet chocolate

2 Tbs. butter or margarine

1 tsp vanilla
How To Make chocolate cherry sauce

1In a saucepan, bring to boil cherries, water and sugar. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add chocolate, butter and vanilla; stir until melted and smooth. Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream or plain cake. Store in refrigerator; will keep up to 2 weeks.
