I love the sausage burritos from McDonald's, so I tried to adapt my own. My husband likes me to put hot sauce on his, but I like mine without.

Ingredients For breakfast burrito

    eggs, scrambled
  • 4
    large tortillas
  • 4
    slices kraft deli deluxe american cheese
  • 1
    half green pepper chopped
  • 1
    half red pepper chopped
  • 1
    half onion, chopped
  • 4
    frozen pre-cooked sausage patties
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    small pat of butter
  • salt and pepper
  • hot sauce (optional)

How To Make breakfast burrito

    In a large skillet place each tortilla on medium heat for about 10-15 seconds. Remove and cover. To the pan add a small pat of butter and add your onions and peppers, cook until soft and remove, set aside.

    In the same pan add 4 tablespoons of butter and scramble the eggs, adding salt and pepper to taste. Meanwhile, place the sausages in the microwave and cook according to package directions, usually about a minute. When done chop the sausages into bite size pieces. Add sausage, peppers and onions to the scrambled eggs, stir.

    Start rolling your burritos. Take one tortilla, put hot sauce on if you chose, place 1 slice of the cheese down, and a scoop of the scrambled egg mixture. Fold the horizontal sides in, and take one end and roll up. place flap side down back in the skillet for just a few seconds if you want to seal it even more. Enjoy!
