Everyone has their favorite version but this has been my go to for years!

Ingredients For banana bread

  • 1/4 c
    plus 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    butter at room temperature
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    mashed ripe bananas (3 medium)
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder

How To Make banana bread

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray that already has flour in it, or grease and flour your pan.

    Combine sour crean and baking soda, set aside. Use a hand mixer and cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, mashed bananas and the sour cream
  • 3
    Combine the flour and baking powder and add to wet ingredients, mix until combined.
  • 4
    Add to your prepared loaf pan and bake one hour or until toothpick inserted in loaf comes out clean. Cool in the pan approximately 10 minutes and remove.
