Very easy. WE ALWAYS HAVE HOMEMADE YEASTY ROLLS AT FAMILY DINNERS. STORE BOUGHT ROLLS JUST WOULDN'T BE THE SAME!!

Ingredients For buttermilk pan rolls

  • 2 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1/4 c
    warm water(110-115 degrees)
  • 1 1/2 c
    warm buttermilk(110-115 degrees)
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil (canola)
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 4 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How To Make buttermilk pan rolls

    In a large mixing bowl,dissolve yeast in warm water. Add warm buttermilk,oil,and sugar. Combine flour, baking soda,salt. Add to yeast mixture and beat until smooth.(in mixer with dough hooks)DO NOT KNEAD! Let stand 10 min. Turn dough onto a slightly floured surface. Punch down. Shape into 24 balls and place in 2 greased 9" square baking pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 30 min.)

    Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven;20 min. or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks******At the point I like to brush butter OR garlic butter on top of rolls.
