This recipe came from my Grandma in Boston. This was very popular up north. So easy to make for morning sweet breads.

Ingredients For apple sauce loaf

1 stickbutter, room temperature

1/2 clight brown sugar

2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspsalt

1 tspcinnamon, ground

1 tspallspice, ground

2eggs
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 capplesauce
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 craisins
-
1 cwalnuts
How To Make apple sauce loaf

1Cream butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Add applesauce and vanilla.

2In seperate bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda and powder, cinnamon and allspice. Add all this to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts and raisins.

3Bake a 350 in a greased and floured loaf pan 9x5 for 55 to 60 minutes. Or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

4Very good served with cream cheese and apple butter.
