This recipe is my all time favorite from "the Best of Bisquick from Betty Crocker". I use Truvia for baking sugar substitute and substitute sunflower seeds for nuts.

Ingredients For banana bread

  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c
    mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 1/3 c
    bisquick baking mix
  • 1 c
    sugar (or your favorite sugar substitute
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How To Make banana bread

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease bottom of loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches. Use solid shortening.

    Stir all ingredients in pan with fork until moistened; beat vigorously 1 minute.

    Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes.

    Cool 5 minutes. Run knife or metal spatula around sides of loaf, pressing gently to loosen; remove from pan.
