My mom has been baking this Irish soda bread recipe forever! Her cousin Marsha gave it to her and now my mom gave it to me. My 2 daughters will then inherit this recipe and hopefully we can keep it in the family for all to enjoy. Delicious after cools a bit with butter!

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients together but the raisins. After everything is mixed, add drained raisins and fold into dough. I grease and flour a pie pan to bake my bread, use whatever works for you but cooking time may vary. Bake anywhere from an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Stick a knife in middle and check that is baked completely. Sometimes I bake my bread on 350, but of course, would take longer cooking time.
