Ingredients For pull apart buttermilk biscuits

  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    low-fat buttermilk

How To Make pull apart buttermilk biscuits

    Heat oven to 450. Lightly spray a baking sheet w/ cooking spray. Sift dry ingredients into lg bowl. Cut in butter until it is a coarse texture.

    Add buttermilk, knead thoroughly. Should be soft, not sticky. Add more flour if it is too sticky. Knead 1 min. Wrap in foil and chill 20 mins.

    On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut w/ biscuit cutter or drinking glass. Place biscuits on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 mins, or until golden brown.
