I first came up with this spread for my Daughter-in-laws baby shower; it was so well recieved I took it to another party where it where everyone loved it and today it's my snack while watching the Seahawks. Nothing more Pacific Northwest than salmon and Seahawks.

Ingredients For smokey salmon spread

  • 1 lb
    fresh salmon
  • 1/4 c
    real maple syrup, plus 1 tsp.
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    liquid smoke flavoring, plus 1 capfull
  • 1 tsp
    seafood seasoning
  • 1 pkg
    (8oz) cream cheese
  • 1
    dollop sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    grillmates smokhouse maple seasoning
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp
    dill weed

How To Make smokey salmon spread

    Put salmon, 1/4 cup maple syrup, minced garlic,1 teaspoon liquid smoke and seafood seasoning in plastic bag and marinade a couple hours.

    Bake salmon at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until it flakes easy. Cool in refrigerator.

    When salmon is cool remove salmon from skin and remove any remaining bones. Mix with 1 teaspoon maple syrup, a cap of liquid smoke,dollop sour cream, cream cheese, smokehouse seasoning, dill weed and salt and pepper. Mix until well blended. Serve with your favorite crackers or sliced bagette.
