15sliced cucumbers

3onions, sliced thin

1/4 ccoarse salt

4 ccracked ice

2 1/2 ccider vinegar

2 1/2 csugar

3/4 tsptumeric

1/2 tspcelery seed
-
1 Tbspmustard seed
How To Make bread & butter pickles

1Combine cucumbers, onions and salt with ice in large bowl. Mix well. Add weight to top and sit for 3 hours. Using a plate with your vinegar jug will work. Drain.

2Combine vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed in large pot. Add drained cucumbers.

3Bring almost to boil, do not allow to boil. Remove from heat. Transfer to glass jars and seal with lids in large pot with hot water. 10 minutes hot water bath. Set out to cool, lids to seal before storing in pantry.
