Ingredients For tanta's holiday cheeseball

  • 1 box
    cream cheese
  • 1/2 pkg
    knox vegetable soup mix
  • 1 jar
    dried beef chipped
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces

How To Make tanta's holiday cheeseball

  • 1
Lay out wax paper and spread chopped pecans on top of it. Set aside. Soften cream cheese. Finely chop dried beef.
  • 2
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, dried chopped beef and 1/2 a pack of vegetable soup mix (if you add the whole thing it really overpowers the cheese). Mix very well to blend all ingredients. Don't worry if you cream cheese is a little mushy, it makes it easier to mix and you are going to chill it back to firm anyway.

Roll into ball shape. Roll cream cheese ball on top of nuts to coat the outside well. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve with your choice of crackers.
