There are certain recipes I only make once a year. Mostly because I have to make so many of them around the holidays that I never want to see them again until the next year. This is one of those recipes.

Ingredients For sausage balls

  • 6 c
    baking mix (such as bisquick)
  • 2 lb
    longhorn cheese or extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb
    sage-flavored pork sausage, room temperature
  • 1 lb
    hot pork sausage, room temperature

How To Make sausage balls

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.

    Mix baking mix, Cheddar cheese, sage-flavored pork sausage, and hot pork sausage together in a bowl. Roll mixture into golf ball-sized balls; arrange balls on the prepared baking sheet.

    Bake until meatballs are no longer pink in the middle and browned on the outside, 25 to 30 minutes.
