I baked a pan of Apple slices on yesterday. Allowed them to cool over night, made & added the glaze this morning. Then with a sharp spatula, I cut & arranged 6 slices on a platter, added a cherry,& took pix & gave it away to my neighbors. They LOVED THEM.
Glazed Country Apple Pie Squares after making these delicious Apple Pie squares, I cut some of them to serve, and topped each with a cherry half.

I just keep finding creative ways to create new and different, and even tweak some of my originals. I too have lots of cookbooks, and often use a recipe to get an idea for a new creation. I study cookbooks like some people read novels. Smile.
Funny you mention that I need to create a cookbook, because I already have, it has 795 recipes in it. But most of the recipes I have posted lately are new creations that aren't in the book. That is so funny that you said that. I hope to write a second one some day soon, when I can get my finances together smile.
