This is where Zelda types all her recipes to us here on JAP.....computer behind her.
This is how she welcomed us into her home......with her lovely SMILE. *(my crazy camera has the wrong year on the pix, "it is supposed to have 5-17-2013")
Great pictures of your visit with Zelda, Cin ! You and Zelda look so happy! :)
It would not do for me to go to a chocolate store or factory, as I am a HUGE chocoholic ! lol
Oh I am sure they have something with Lemon in or on it...=;D
I can not believe you were there and did NOT BUY ONE THING!!!
Even if I don't get anything for myself I always buy some gifts.
NOW...when we get to Our Sons in Hershey we have to go to the Hershey Store there too. They have wonderful Sugar-Free candies too.
BUT, it NO OUTLET.....and expensive. So I do not buy as much there.
They have tons of boxed chocolates that are marked: "not so perfect pieces", I can't believe I made it out of there without buying anything. I'm not a chocolate person, I like it but not that love other people have. My thing is desserts with lemon...MMMMM
Yes, I know. We have been there probably 50 times or more thru the years.
We started going to it before it moved up on the HWY...it used to be at the plant way out of town (well then and the town grew around it).
I liked going to the old one, as it's prices were much cheaper.
Depending on what way we go to Hershey, PA to visit our oldest Son an family OR also when we'd be going to my Hubby's Parents home in WV.
Also in the late 80's my Daughter went to William Woods Private Girls College in Fulton, MO (there was also a Private Boy's College in town too).....when going back an forth we'd always zip over to Russell Stover's.
Years after she graduated the College went "Co-Ed".
Janet Lebanon, Mo is about 459 miles from Chicago, but you can subtract about 35 from that from where I live. Still quite a distance, but would be worth the trip, if I had the time and some one to come with me.
aaawwwwww, dessert. Shelia......the bowl was layered with whipped cream layer, banana pudding layer, peanut butter layer, chocolate pudding layer, then repeat until all is used, and top it off with whipped cream.
I think she is going to put her recipe on her recipe page. I probably left something out.
I think next time we'll have to advertise it more on here for one in this area of the USA.
The "Yellow Rose of Texas" was coming until she had her accident and her Granddaughter's scheduled wedding.
Next time maybe you Texans can plan to come together.
