Had to have a piece soon after it came out of the oven while it was still warm. This is so good!!! Before I put it in the fridge, I had two more pieces. This is so good that I could just eat it right out of the pie plate in one sitting. But I didn't.

Magic custard pie
I added apx 1 c. of coconut (including some sprinkling for the top) to Robyn's Magic Crust Custard Pie, and was delighted after several attempts at more complicated coconut custard pie recipes that this one turned out to be the easiest and most delicious!
Sprinkled some cinnamon on top. Yum!

This time I tripled the recipe, added 2 TBL more butter (I like the crust better that way after its cold a day later) and made just 2 pies. The 1.5x recipe worked great for ONE pie, so this should be great too...both pans filled to the top & smell great!

By far the BEST custard pie I have ever made or eaten! I did 1.5x the recipe amount, but with 2x the butter. It is PERFECT. It looks a bit brown, but that is a tiny bit of crunch with a whole lot of yummy!
This is the one I just made this morning (cooling) with 1.5x the recipe in 9" pan. It took nearly 2hrs to get the knife to come out clean.Should have reduced the heat once it started browning.Since my accidental double butter wasn't bad b4,used 1.5x +1/4C
I made this one today and made 1.5x the recipe in same size pan.It fit perfectly in the 9" pie pan. This is just before baking.
This was my first attempt at this pie (ended up making two at the same time) - I accidentally put double the amount of butter in, so I made another. I baked it anyway.It wasn't as "custardy",more creamy,was delicious and the crust was better esp once cold
This was my second attempt - same day - at making this pie. This is fresh out of the oven. I know it doesn't look very browned, but the knife came out clean and it was very good!

Easy and delcious! I used Eggbeaters without compromising taste or texture. My new go-to dessert recipe.
Super easy! Wonderful warm with whipped cream!! My husbands favorite!!
I added 3 ripe bananas & almond extract. I like alot of spice; cinnamon & cloves are sprinkled heavily on the top. This was my 6th pie & they just keep getting better & better!!!

Gergia, thanks hon. It was delicious! I should have snapped a shot of the pie when it first came out of the oven and looked like a souffle! THAT was beautiful! And deceiving. It really looked different and made me believe it was done. Oh well, I'll know next time!
