Staci, as always this cake is a winner & loved by all who try it. We had it again to celebrate my nephew Rhyan’s 23rd birthday. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas celebration with your family. Thanks again for sharing this amazing recipe.
so I decided to be a bit creative today and make the ding dong cake as a bundt and I wanted to tint the filling green for St. Patrick's Day.. no green coloring and no yellow to create green.. sooo we got blue! Tastes the same, just looks different..
frosted with my homemade buttercream icing. Can you imagine had I put the other two layers on top. I don't think BD would've gotten there in one piece. hehehe
I still love, love, love this picture!!! It is so adorable and now I know why the cat was having a glazed over look as I was the same way after having a slice of this cake. hahaaaa
ok. for the record I tried the recipe using milk, extra egg and butter and while I liked it the day it was made the cake has dried out really bad since (the leftovers). Making the cake according to the box directions in the past and having leftovers.. this has not been a problem.
Daniel, now I must say that this pic is just too adorable! The Ding Dong Cake looks to perfection, slices have me drooling, cat has me laughing and the milk sounds like the perfect chaser. I just love it!!!
Daniel!! NICE JOB!!! That looks good! I'm making one next week to take to a gathering on Sunday night.. I'm gonna be doing the milk, butter, egg thing to mine as well. and I noticed Sissy right off the bat! I'm a cat person.. :)
